Overview

Pump acceptance test

Definition: Pump acceptance is the technical approval of a pump and therefore does not constitute a legal act in the sense of the purchase of the pump. Rather, tests are carried out during acceptance to check whether the performance range agreed in the supply contract is met.

In addition to agreed acceptance rules, other aspects can be checked during the pump acceptance procedure. These include, for example, throttle curve, leakage loss, power requirement or noise emissions. Acceptance is carried out at a neutral location, at the purchaser’s plant or at the manufacturer’s pump test facility.
